Bioenvironmental Science is newly approved academic department but its academic program is not yet commenced. The present department will deal with time demanded different environmental issues or problems of the nation. Industrial emerging countries generally face different environmental pollutions by discharging or dissemination wastes, effluents, garbage etc which could easily contaminate our soils, surface and ground water & air etc. These problems are more severe in developing countries like Bangladesh than developed countries. Soils and ground water are the most key component for crop growth and development. Crop production becomes directly affect by its contamination. Besides, contamination of these components also greatly affects our fisheries, animals and also our lives. Therefore intensive research and education is such areas are mostly inevitable. For minimization (remediation) of these problems different types of research (such as conventional, chemical, filtration, flocculation and sophisticated ultra filtration etc) are being conducted by concerned people globally. Presently most of the concerned people are interested about bioremediation, biodegradation, bioconversion, biodeterioration etc for its sustainable and contaminants free remediation of these issues. The present department will address these problems mostly in biological aspects for sustaining congenial environment for living beings.
